Recently I wanted to cut back on my juice intake, and consume more water. While it has been a challenge not drinking juice daily, I have come up with creative ways to fight the temptation. One thing I have been doing is rewarding myself with a afternoon Tea Time.

Around 4 o'clock every afternoon I drink Collagen Infused Iced Sweet Tea. I have a friend who is a Licensed Esthetician and she informed me one day that she drinks collagen every day and raved about the health benefits. I wondered why collagen? But knew she was one of the best at what she does, and she had never steered my wrong before so I decided to do some research into its benefits and give it a shot!
Collagen Helps to keep your Integumentary System (i.e your skin hair and nails) running happy and healthy. Providing Skin Elasticity, Adequate Hydration and a more youthful appearance. I'm the type of person who likes to get tho most bang for my buck so I decided on adding Collagen to Black tea due to its high level of Antioxidants. Antioxidants for those who do not know slow down cell damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals more often then not are linked to many illnesses as well as aging found in the human body. So Consuming Foods, and Beverages high in Antioxidants are crucial for the body to diminish the amounts of free radicals present, in efforts to keep the body running at optimum cellular levels.
I prefer to use Vital Proteins Beauty Collagen, although it is not Vegan for all my strict plant based readers. It has a plethora of other benefits added to it, like 120mg of Hyaluronic Acid, to help keep your skin hydrated and 14g of protein per serving, which aids in both muscle health and growth to name a few. There are collagen powders that are solely plant based for those that would still like to try this recipe! I hope this recipe finds you well, and you consider putting it into your daily routine!
